It's light and warm
It's water-resistant
As a long time runner, I found a love for ultra running here in New Zealand, dabbling in endurance distances.
While maintaining my ultra running, I’m also prioritizing learning new alpine skills to ensure I can move efficiently and quickly through all mountain terrain, whether that be groomed running trails, jagged scrambly peaks, mountain bike tracks, or off-piste ski routes. I want to learn it all!
Skiing is my passion and my life, and I am super grateful for having the opportunity to travel the world competing and meeting rad people along the way.
I've been competing internationally for 6 or 7 years and recently finished my rookie season on the Freeride World Tour 2017 and I am currently ranked 6th male skier in the world.
Now my objective is to go hard in FWT 2018 as well as the FWQ 4* events and see if I can keep this thing rolling on for a while longer!
I grew up in a small ski town in the North Island of NZ called Ohakune. Its here that I gained the passion I have for skiing and being in the outdoors! I grew up skiing Ruapehu and competing/training in racing.
I've been competing on the FWQ circuit for the last 2 years and have also been competing in Canada! Currently, I am ranked 6th in Europe/Oceania and its my dream to one day make it to the Freeride World Tour.
